To keep your BlackSpace account secure, we highly recommend setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for shoppers and require it for store owners and their staff. By using an authenticator app, you add an extra layer of protection, ensuring that only you can access your account.
Follow these steps to set up 2FA on BlackSpace:
Choose an authenticator app compatible with 2FA. Popular options include:
• Authy
• Google Authenticator – Android | iOS
We also support Duo Security, LastPass, FreeOTP, and Okta Verify. You can find these apps in your device’s app store. Once you have an app installed on your mobile device, proceed to the next step.
1. Log into your BlackSpace account.
2. Navigate to Manage Account > 2FA Configuration.
1. In your BlackSpace 2FA Configuration page settings, click Configure 2FA, then choose the One-time code via 2FA app option.
2. A QR code will appear on your screen.
1. Open the authenticator app of your choice on your mobile device.
2. Use the app’s option to Add Account or Scan QR Code.
3. Scan the QR code displayed in the prior step on your 2FA Configuration page. Your screen will look like the one above. This links your account to the authenticator app.
After linking your account:
1. Enter the six-digit code displayed in your authenticator app into the verification field on BlackSpace.
2. Submit the code to complete the setup.
BlackSpace will provide backup codes in case you lose access to your authenticator app. Save these codes in a secure place—such as a password manager—since they can be used to access your account if your device is unavailable.
For more information, go to our backup codes resource page.
Each time you log in, you’ll enter your username and password as usual. After that, open your authenticator app, retrieve the six-digit code, and enter it on BlackSpace. This additional step helps ensure your account remains secure.
